About Georgia

Georgia sees teaching as a journey of genuine communication. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that teaching is, first and foremost, a form of connection. While knowledge is essential, the true key to effective teaching lies in ‘unlocking’ each student’s unique perspective and creating an environment where they feel understood and inspired. Every day, she approaches each lesson as if it were the first or the last, cultivating enthusiasm and excitement for learning, with the goal that every experience is meaningful and memorable.

Teaching Philosophy

Teaching isn’t a static skill; it’s a continuous journey of learning. Georgia often feels more like a student than a teacher, as every learner has something invaluable to teach her about how she approaches education. This outlook keeps her work endlessly engaging and creative, as there is always something new to explore. In her lessons, she aims to communicate through actions rather than words, letting music be the shared language. After all, music is meant to be played and heard, not just spoken about.

Education & Career

Georgia's career is devoted to advancing music education. Her formal studies include a BMus in Music from Kingston University in the United Kingdom, along with advanced Diplomas in Piano and Music Theory from prestigious Greek conservatories.

Currently, she is a Piano Subject Matter Specialist at the International School of Musicians. In addition, Georgia has extensive experience preparing students for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), Trinity College London, and ISoM examinations, ensuring that her students excel across all examination boards.

She also teaches in various outstanding schools and music organisations across London. Georgia holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is trained in safeguarding, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students. Her enhanced DBS certificate is available upon request. She is also a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA-UK), and the Music Teachers’ Association (MTA), reflecting her commitment to professional standards and continuous development in music education.

With years of experience across numerous teaching roles and as head of music departments, she is committed to enhancing the quality and progression of music education. Her work includes teaching, coaching for music exams, and working as an accompanist for exams and performances.
