Piano Lessons Policy
The section below outlines the terms and conditions for piano lessons provided by My Piano Academy (a trading name of the Centre for Music Research and Education Ltd). By enrolling in lessons, you agree to the following policies:
1. Lesson Fees and Payments
Payment Schedule: Payment for lessons is due at the beginning of each half term. An invoice detailing the number of lessons for that period will be provided.
Payment Methods: Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal. Full details are provided on each invoice.
Late Payment: Payments must be received within 10 days of the due date. Continued non-payment may result in the suspension of lessons until the balance is cleared.
2. Cancellations
Student Cancellations: At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel a lesson. An invoice will be issued detailing the number of lessons for that period.
Teacher Cancellations: In the rare event that the teacher needs to cancel a lesson, as much notice as possible will be given. A make-up lesson will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
3. Make-Up Lessons
Eligibility: Make-up lessons are available for lessons cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice. These make-up lessons must be scheduled within the same half term as the missed lesson, subject to availability.
Scheduling: Make-up lessons will be arranged at a time that suits both parties. If a mutually convenient time cannot be found, the lesson will be forfeited.
4. Termination of Lessons
Notice of Termination: If you wish to discontinue lessons, a half-term notice is required. This notice period allows for the settlement of any outstanding payments and the completion of any remaining lessons.
Refund Policy: Prepaid lessons are non-refundable. However, any remaining lessons can be utilised during the notice period.
Re-Enrollment: Should you decide to resume lessons after discontinuing, please contact us to discuss current availability and any re-enrollment procedures.
5. General Guidelines
Punctuality: Please arrive on time for lessons. Lessons will not be extended to accommodate late arrivals.
Practice Expectations: Regular practice is essential for progress. Students are expected to practice consistently between lessons to maximise their learning experience.
Communication: For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us via email or phone. Open communication ensures that lessons remain productive and enjoyable.
By enrolling in piano lessons with My Piano Academy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
